Film and Community Conversation – “White Like Me: Race, Racism and White Privilege in America” – Part 1

March 15 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

This film and community conversation are our next installment in a series exploring race, the first of which was “Who are the Dreamers?” this past week. “White Like Me” brings the work of acclaimed anti-racist author and educator Tim Wise to the screen, exploring race and racism in the United States through the lens of whiteness and white privilege. This film helps make sense of the seemingly abstract concept of white privilege and the need to address it for the healing of our community and society as a whole.

Facilitated by Linda Block of Asheville-area “Building Bridges” initiative and Bill Mance of the Commission to Dismantle Racism, Diocese of WNC.

A light evening meal will be provided, $5 suggested donation
