Saturday, January 25 at 7pm, MUSIC: Elisabeth von Trapp Concert –
The granddaughter of the legendary Von Trapp Singers brought songs and history to Burnsville in a truly magical, community-building evening. Elisabeth has released five albums, performing internationally in venues across Austria and Russia and throughout the United States, including at the Kennedy Center and on PBS.

 

Sunday, February 16 at 2pm, INDIE FILM: “The Peanut Butter Falcon” – $5 at the Door. This uplifting and award-winning Mark Twain style adventure is the story of Zak, a young man with Down syndrome, who runs away to follow his dream of attending a professional wrestling school. While on the journey, he discovers his strength, courage, and amazing gifts – and finds a brand new family.

 

Sunday, March 8 at 2pm, MUSIC: “Songs of Peace and Love” – Ticketed $15.
Popular Asheville-based performers share their uniquely stylized, harmonic versions of songs of peace and love. These are the songs we all need to hear from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s to present. You may be invited to sing along with these melodies that create connection and community!

 

Saturday, March 28 from 10am-4pm, CRAFT: Chakra Necklace Beading Class with Wendy Ellsworth. Preregister for $85. Internationally recognized bead artist, Ellsworth, leads a full day workshop. Using the rainbow colors of the Hindu chakra system, participants create an exquisite wearable piece that is sure to be cherished for years to come.

 

Sunday, March 29 at 2pm, THEATRE: “A Tale of Two Charlies” – Ticketed $15. The play interweaves local historic events surrounding a polygamous marriage, a murder, and a hanging in a colorful tale set in McDowell County near the Orchard at Altapass on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Stars Sherry Lovett and Larry Pearlman.
